Visit Gringotts Wizarding Bank at the Harry Potter Studio tour

One of the best things about London and its star attractions is that they’re always evolving. The Harry Potter Studio Tour is one of our best-loved (and personal favourite!) places to visit, so we’re extremely excited to hear about a brand-new expansion to the experience.

From April 6th, movie fans will be able to experience one of the most iconic sets from the Harry Potter movies – Gringotts Bank. This magnificent set is one of the Studios’ largest exhibits to date and will showcase the fantastic props and costumes that you know from the movies. From Harry’s first visit in the Philosopher’s Stone to the infamous break-in to Bellatrix Lestrange’s vault, you’ll be able to relive the memories of this magical location up close and personal. You’ll even get to visit Lestrange’s vault itself and see famous magical treasures like the Sword of Gryffindor and Helga Hufflepuff’s Cup.

This release of the Gringotts exhibition has got us thinking about our favourite sets, props and activities from the Warner Brothers Studio tour. Read on to discover the moments that brought home the movie magic for us.

The Great Hall

The moment the curtain rolls back to reveal the stunning Great Hall is a moment every Potterhead will remember for decades to come. It’s like stepping into a dream that you’ve always wanted to visit.

Flying above Hogwarts

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to fly on a broomstick about the turrets of Hogwarts? Well, using the same greenscreen technology used in the movies, Warner Brothers will put you in the scene astride your very own flying Firebolt. You’ll even be able to buy the photo to take home with you.

The Hogwarts Express

Harry, Ron and Hermione’s first meeting aboard the Hogwarts Express is perhaps one of the most iconic in the entire series. Step into that very scene as you climb aboard the Hogwarts Express and see the very cabin in which it was filmed.

The Gift Shops

If you’re anything like us, you’re a sucker for anything with a Harry Potter logo on it. The gift shops are some of our favourite parts of the tour, as they contain lots of merch you won’t find anywhere else. There are several shops, each with unique items that you can’t get in the others.

Butterbeer, Privet Drive and the Knight Bus

Ever wondered what Butterbeer really tastes like? Well, now you can try it at the Warner Brother’s restaurant. Drink down a glass whilst getting a fantastic view of the Dursley family home, as well as everybody’s favourite purple London bus.

The Forbidden Forest

Feel the atmosphere change to one of cold tension as you enter the Forbidden Forest. Beware the many strange and wonderful creatures you’ll find here, including Hippogriffs, Acromantula and more. It’s one of the most immersive parts of the tour.

Hogwarts

Nearing the end of the tour, you’ll get to experience one of its most spectacular moments. See the real-life model of the Hogwarts castle in all its glory, with fantastically detailed textures and landscapes, from the real plants used in its forests to the miniature owls in the owlery. The sheer scale of this unique piece of art will take your breath away!

If you’d like to visit the Harry Poter Studio Tour and experience all of this for yourself, you can buy tickets right away at Evan Evans.
